Nato a Mezzolombardo nel 1951, vive e lavora a Salorno/Salurn (BZ-Italia), dove per oltre quarant’anni ha gestito con successo un’attività artigianale di progettazione e costruzione di stufe in maiolica e pietra ollare. Le stufe sono state il primo supporto delle incisioni serigrafiche su pietra di colui che ama definirsi “artista artigiano”.
Le sue opere riprendono una modalità antica e sofisticata, ispirata all’arte incisoria di Albrecht Dürer. La sua tecnica è mista e l’artista utilizza anche alcuni nuovi materiali per le sue incisioni, che si avvalgono di un modus operandi sostenuto, oltre che da stimoli antichi, da supporti forniti dalla modernità, quali la base fotografica, i fogli di vinile il bisturi e l’aerografo. Il metodo impiegato, particolarmente raffinato e prezioso, garantisce all’opera, frutto di una stampa a monotipo, un carattere di unicità.
